A Lover's Question

You sat in the moonlight,
With tears on your cheek,
I held back emotions,
Although I was weak,

What would touch me deeper,
Tears that fall from your eyes,
Or the feeling despair, 
For not knowing why?

    Hoping that a shall never be responsible for bringing a 
single tear from the loving and smiling eyes of Jean Louise
of Sidney, British Columbia, penned this in the post Helen
days 15 years ago...
