Me, a raven

by adrift {gemini} - Not entered

As I sit here, by the fire’s blaze,
I dream of our never-ending love…
I think of how different we are,
Me a raven, and you a dove…
Your eyes, a peaceful blue pool,
My eyes, a raging blue sea…
So different outside and in,
But to each other, we cling desperately…
From our lives we both fled,
To be ourselves, to live like we should…
It was Heaven when I saw you,
You talked to me, like I hoped you would…
The pain in my eyes, you both saw, and felt,
And you hung on my every word…
I melt in the warmth of your embrace,
Into your heart I was slowly lured…
Marriage binds us, as one in the same,
To have and to hold, every day,
Fate, stuck us together, to help each other,
Held together by love, we will stay..
