Lies

by Christina Zonak (Leo) - Not entered

All you did, all we shared
Has turned to dust at my feet
All your promises, all your words
Were nothing except a malevolent cheat.

All that was done, all what was said
Means nothing to you now, I see
All that I gave, all that you took
You now send me from dream to tragedy

Charlatan, traitor, liar, pain
Empty promises, never real
A block of ice coats my heart.
Never to love, never to feel.

I cry now in unearthly pain
It’s all because of you.
I despise when people speak of love
It’s a lie, none of it’s true

I weep silent tears
And dream of what might have been had
My soul is empty, my heart is gone
Lethe doesn’t sound so bad

Reason for writing:

He told me that he loved me. But it ment nothing to him
