Taking Things For Granted

by Mouse - Capricorn - Not entered

You’re still so young
And yet it seems
Like you have seen it all,
Done everything there
Is out there to be done.
And you don’t realize
How lucky you are.
You take for granted everything
You don’t know what you’ve got.
Until one day God comes
And takes it all away from you.
And you shall see
That life’s not what
You thought it should be.
And you will long for the times
When you were so care-free.
And then you will realize
That nothing’s like it used to be.
And you will pray to get it all back
But what’s done is done,
Can’t turn back time.
You have got to move on.
Just got to move on
And face the truth.
That life’s not what
You thought it should be.
