Whatever I did you looked down upon me You compared me to others and would not let me be The person who I knew I truly wanted to be. You compared me to others apparently better than me And said I should be more like them, although I didn’t want to. You pushed me when I didn’t want to be pushed, You misjudged me and neglected my needs. You misunderstood me in whatever I did or said. You said I was not trying hard enough And I could not stand it no more. I needed an escape, a pathway to freedom and peace With no more nagging nor wining about how I should be. So that is why I did what I did and now no longer shall be.
