She awoke in the midst of the Blood red California Poppy orange And vein blue fire. All she could feel was the Searing caress Of the heat against her skin. She layed paralyzed with terror As she watched it climb Up the door jamb And dance along the beams of the roof. It seemed to say "Stop me if you can, 'cuz, I'll eat you alive." She wasn't able to stop it. She was my spirit. I will never see her alive again.
