So you want to be a scholar? Spend most of your life in school. Be a person who has vision. Not a poor misguided fool. Not everyone has what it takes. To walk the halls of learning. Most people have to put up with their lives. Never able to fulfil that yearning. The pursuit of knowledge is an arduous task. I have respect for those who try. But! There is a differance between someone with intellect. And someone who is wise. You could lead the next generation. The whole world will open for you. Don't let avarice be your only friend. Permit compassion to walk with you. As you reach for your diploma. Then turn to face the world. Remember you are just one stalk of wheat. In a vast open field. When you are seated in the halls of power. When you have gone as high as you can. Look back for those who still struggle along. And offer them your hand.
