Anything

by Steve Wong (Sag.) - Not entered

Sometimes I feel a rage in me,
But when you are here
My soul is set at ease.
There are somethings I can do without
There are somethings I can live without,
But I can't go on without you.
It's taken so long for me to say
How you treat me well in every way.
You are all that I want,
You are all that I dream.
I'll never let you down,
I'll never give you up.
I'll do anything to be with you.
I want to be the one you go to
When you are feeling tired and sad.
I want to help heal all your pain
Because I only want to be with you.
I can't find the words to tell you
How you make me feel.
Time is moving too fast to be real
And I'll be anything for you
To treat you right as you deserve.
You are all that I want,
You are all that I need,
I'll say anything to be with you.
Let me take your hand,
Love and protect you
From all the evils in this world,
And take you to a safer place.
They say you don't always get what you want,
But what if all I want is you?

Reason for writing:

Although the structure of this poem is irratic, I felt it was necessary to justify the confusion that I felt when I wrote it. It was written based on how I really felt about this girl and what I wanted to tell her.
