When Life regains Its Inner Hold

by Thomas Lee Rhymes (Cancer) - Not entered

Once -
we shared a precious gift
of Love and Gentle touches, which
gave me inner peace to give and
you, reason enough to live

I watched your face, as
ectascy replaced
Sorrow's Frown

I heard you speak
my name, in tones
of Lover's deep
within their moans
of Love's release

Once -
we shared a fleeting Passion
Love's quick tingling
in our hearts, and

Once -
I loved you
and heard you whisper
the same sweet words
in the Lover's dark

Yet -
all is over
touch and tone
and taste of every
precious moment -
Lost Forever
we stand -
Alone

~ as Life regains its inner hold ~

Reason for writing:

As mortal beings, we each have the terrible tendancy to falter...to fall...and, hopefully, to regain our footing. Relationships are but fleeting moments in Time and provide, unfortunately, brief holidays from the boredom of Life. Yet, we all know, that much too soon, LIFE regains what it has temporarily lost. It is a pity, that this is so.
