To Lyndsey

by Luke Van Hamblen * - Not entered

Come.
Come to the light of the silver moon.
And see what my eye's have seen.
Enclose me in your gentle stillness.
Come be where my mind has been.

Take me away to a faraway place.
Beyond the shadows- too close, too near.
Make me a tower, a promise, a lie.
And hear what I've had to hear.

See the light flicker and snicker.
Abandon all that is real.
Let me succomb to your touch.
And feel what you know I feel.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem to a girl that I have loved for a few years now. i just recently told her how I feel and I guess I'm still trying to tell her in my own way. 11.27.96
