City of Lights,Lonely Saturday Night

by Barron J. Parker (Taurus) - Not entered

A city of lights but no where to go
A Saturday night, it's late and you're home alone
No one to share your thoughts with, your thoughts tonight are all your own
Maybe doing something different than the things you already know

Hundreds of lonely people in the information age
Looking for someone to relate to page after page
Tucked safely behind a computer where you can be anything that you wish
A cyberspace masquerade ball where everyone is on the guest list

Boy meets girl,so on and so on for hours and hours on end
Reaching out into the night looking for a new friend
Hoping to find someone like me
Hoping to find a soulmate to set you free

Miles are bridged in seconds all over the world
An exciting new adventure is about to begin, boy meets girl
Intrigue and curiousity peak, site after site
Hundreds of people looking for on another, on a lonely Saturday night

Reason for writing:

An emotional thought about everyone who may be home on the computer tonight searching for new friends to bring some happiness to their lives. Those who are very shy, those who are alone, those who may not "fit in". The first step in friendship is an open mind and an open heart. Sometimes reaching out to others can be easier than you think but you never lose anything from trying. There's someone for everyone.
