Apprehended Tragedy

- Apprehended Tragedy -

Sunbeam burst on the scene,
a broken heart is torn between.

Thoughts turn dark and deep as the sea,
I see your face, it takes hold of me.

A drop of blood rolls down my cheek,
our long lost love makes me weak.

Can’t you feel the desire to touch,
where are you hiding, I miss you so much.

You’re on the canvas, I begin to create,
but there is no color to our tragic fate.

Numb my heart, ease my pain,
enchant me again, love me the same.

Pain is weakness leaving the body,
the thought of you kills me silently.

It’s been so long that I want to scream,
I’m back to start with my little sunbeam.

Reason for writing:

I write poetry about lost loves to help subdue the pain that is associated with it.
