Once Was

by The TALON / Capricorn - Not entered

Once was I upon the path through the weeds,
And I alone could choose my wants or my needs.
The brambles and briars were teasing liars,
They reached out but found no hold
and I wove my way through them curious and bold.
Once was I beyond mere mortal needs
And cared naught about the course of my deeds.
I cursed or blessed without a care,
and came and went like currents of air.

.... Unfinished work... possibly in progress.

Reason for writing:

Many changes have occurred in my life. Some good, some not(or so they seemed at the time of their happening.)
I feel that several lifetimes are spent discovering what we are or should be. And who knows, one day we may
get it right
