To A Poet I Met In An Anthology In A Second-Hand B

by Lois Anne Taurus - Not entered

I've never met you
except on this page.
I do not know your age,
your race, your creed,
and I'm not even sure
you are still alive.

But I know we are kindred souls
for I have read the lines you've written,
I feel echoing vibrations
singing in my racing heart.

This dusty printer's ink
has kissed my froggy mind
and I am changed into a princess
through the magic spell
you weave with words.

Reason for writing:

It was inspired by the author of a poem in an obscure book
in a secondhand store.
