Parked Cars

by Sarah Rundall....Cancer - Not entered

The stars are out
the moon is high
he laughs at us
saying goodbye

It's all a big joke
the laughter is gone
sitting in parked cars
drowning in a song

Follow your heart
what i was told
trying to begin
frightened by the cold

Sounding like a romeo
disguised as a friend
you btought me joy
no surprize it's the end

Reason for writing:

remembering saying good bye at the end of a night
to a friend i had fallen in love with...doing all i could not to express to him the way i felt...scared i would loose him
