Open your eyes, Take a good, hard look around. Are you surprised at the differential feeling, Are you surprised at what you have found? I cannot talk, nor deal with you, You have to realize yourself. What you do, and say now, It makes a difference to someone else. Look beyond the outside appearance, Look beyond the solitary attitude. You'll find that we are no different, No different than you. We don't have to explain ourselves, For we need no explanation. You have to open up your eyes, Accept the realization. We are the past, present and future, We are the source of all originality. We won't be ignored, nor go away, For, we're a page of everyone's history. You are not forced to understand us, Nor forced to open up and see. But if you choose to, You'll see how complex we can be. We do not taunt nor tease, For, we are those who are singled out. But one day you will realize, You'll realize, without a doubt. There seems to be a need for acceptance, A definite need for popularity. So open up your eyes, Are you surprised at what you see? There's no need for questions, For answers, there is no call.. For just this once, Can't you interpret, without having to know all? We ask nothing of you, There is no given purpose for need. For, we need no attention from the non understanding, You require give nothing, pay us no heed. So why not decide to understand us, Give acceptance a chance? You therefore have nothing to surrender, Only cast to enhance. Open up your eyes, Open them now, today. You have absolutely nothing to lose, So I ask you, what more is there to say?
Reason for writing:
The reason I wrote this poem is, I consider myself the "Misunderstood." I'm always getting pushed around by this constant immaturity at school. As far as I can see, the people there judge from the outside. It's just becasue I hang out with the so called "Freaks." No one seems to understand everyone is the same, and the outside appearance, and possetions of a person isn't something to judge by. It's what inside that counts. I just want to get that message across to anyone who will take the time to listen.Birth sign: Not entered
