The Moon was Staring

by Elijah - Not entered

I stood on my verandah.
Stared up at the sky.
Saw the moon was staring back.
With it's one bright glistening eye.

I pondered on the thought.
That I had not thought of yet.
I wondered if it looked upon.
Other users of the "net".

I stretched out to touch it.
To ask if it did know.
But I could not seem to reach.
Past it's silvery night time glow.

Very loudly I did speak.
In the hope it would hear me call.
But the wind spoke even louder.
So on deaf ears my words did fall.

So I lingered on my verandah.
Admiring a moon so bright and free.
Watched him sitting quietly staring.
Back down at the earth and me.

Reason for writing:

    Just a thought......or two.
