Halloween

by Abdelmalek Kemmou - Not entered

Halloween

      Fog covers the heavens,
      light is not seen,
      the world is shallow,
      the world is a shadow...

In the darkness, far away,
I hear a familiar ode,
a child ready to trick,
a grand'ma ready to treat ;
the child whispers hallos,
the grand'ma weens memories...

In my head, far enough,
I hear the familiar ode,
stories of vampires - dancing -
werewolves dating zombies,
loving Freddies,
singing Frankensteins...

But night ages and dies,
Dreams fade into the breeze,
Scary light to come,
Feared daymares,
Torment,
Waking up ...
           in daylight,
Then pain,
Insomnia
Till sunset...

      Fog covers the heavens,
                               The gods sneeze !
      Light is not seen,
It is time to wake up !
      The world is shallow,
                               How wonderful !
      The world is
                               my shadow !...
