Seasons of the Heart

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

Oh, the pleasant springtime morning,
With you my love, I shall fashion,
     And fill each quiet evening,
     With excitement and warm passion.

A bed of the most fragrant rose,
For you, my love, to lay upon,
As I fill the air with light prose,
     And heartfelt melodious song.

The summer beach I shall explore,
With you, my love, holding my hand,
Waves crash and crest upon the shore,
As we walk barefoot on the sand.

The finest glass of ruby wine,
For you, my love, to softly sip,
And I the while suspending time,
As my fingertips trace your lips.

As gently as falling autumn leaves,
With you, my love, I shall embrace.
Your hair caressed by the light breeze,
Sharing a kiss I touch your face

When I tire, I shall kneel and pray,
For you, my love, by your sweet side,
     While angels serenely say,
     Novenas above the hillside.

By the glowing warm winter fires,
With you, my love, I shall retire,
Sharing a sigh as the day expires,
     Stilling passionate love's desire.

Just as I have pledged before,
For you, my love, I wish to give,
All these moments and so much more,
For as long as we both shall live.
