So Many Reasons, So Many Seasons

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

The morning bird will so softly sing,
But you won't hear him yet this spring,
But this, I do love, understand,
This is not quite an easy thing.

We have missed sharing this today,
The warm breeze of a summer day,
But this, I do love, understand,
We will upon an autumn day.

And this autumn, brings me this fear,
Will pass on by without you here,
Yet this, I do love, understand,
That this fine day is drawing near.

Oh, tomorrow do not you know,
We will miss playing in the snow,
Yet this, I do love, understand,
The waiting will make my heart grow.

I shall remain patient quite long,
So silently singing this song,
Yet this, I do love, understand,
Another year has come and gone.

Reason for writing:

For the pleasure of my true love, Jean Louise of Sidney,
British Columbia, Canada, the inspiration of my heart.
