Air of Hope

by Abdelmalek Kemmou - Not entered

A dream, forteresse of hope
Good or evil, it does'nt matter
Hope is the power of hope
False or true, I have no other remedy
To me, the birds came
Symbols of freedom... of cages

	You, sir, the westerner,
What did your lord offer ?
Hope is a cure - irresistible cure

A bird said the sky is blue
Another said it rained
Then a third, no complaints
I saw in their faces much glamour
Then cold eyes, definite weakness
But hope is all they had

	You madam, Western half
You talk of freedom and opened cages
Hope is it ? for the right cages...

Then the butterflies, stupid creatures
The kid's cage can be worse
And the deliverance brought by the mind
Do you think son of man
Earth is another Eden ?
But hope, only refuge ...
