Lullaby of Immortality

by Luna - Not entered

Along in that valley, where once we loved
I walk,
scattering your ashes in my footprints
I listen to that stream which,
alone,
chatters of places noone else has seen
and the grass is velvet
and the flowers color the ground, blending
  up into the air
pastel and muted
I am flowing,
  like the stream
that runs forever
I merge
with the pastel-misty light
your ashes are gone
the willow
rolls sweet tears down its branches
into my palm
I drink-
I am.
I melt
step by soft step
over the beckoning green
the valley becomes misty
  behind a watery curtain
as reality leaves...
I enter
the dream that never wakes
the lullaby
of immortality.

Reason for writing:

It was as if something beyond mortality inspired this.
The poem explains better than I...
