In Her Face

by Thomas Lee Rhymes (Cancer) - Not entered

Smug mama -
holding the world in your chubby hands,
thinking I care about your thoughts.
Where do YOU get off thinking, at all!!
You'd strip the flesh from your dying Mother
if you thought you could use it to drape your
warped shoulders in a robe of Royalty.

You speak, and expect the World to listen.
As if your words meant anything passed these four walls.
WAKE UP - Drivel !!
You're just one more split bottom
in a long line of split bottoms.

Rest your attitude, for a moment. THINK.
Are you extraordinarily beautiful?
Is your hair ALWAYS in the right place -
your makeup - flawless?
HELL NO!!
You can't even dress the part of Eliza Doolittle -
much less Audrey Hepburn!
What gives you the right to sneer at others?
NOTHING! That's what!
And Nothing is what you are (and will most likely ever be)
unless you find Wisdom - Compassion and
Empathy towards others - and DAMN QUICK !!

So, wax your lip and pluck those brows
and get with the Program called LIFE !
Most of us live it, surely, someone like Your Highness
should have no trouble existing among we serfs.

There -
I feel better.

C1997 Thomas Lee Rhymes - written 01/02/97

Reason for writing:

There are people out there, in this case a female, who think SO highly of themselves that the rest of us are
mere annoyances. One particular individual (who shall remain nameless) has recently pushed me over the edge of civility.
If there is someone in YOUR life, who fits this picture - here's hoping you can use and IMPROVE on this to set them straight!
And - NO - this is not meant to be a SEXIST attitude towards females in general!!!
