"Whenever I See You!"

by Marva L. Dowdin - Not entered

"Whenever I see you!"
"My heart pumps a tune."
"Then I would require CPR."
"My airway opened by June."

"Your black eyes haunt me so."
"I could never leave you or go."
"Not to see you is a big blow."
"Causing me to fall in the snow."

"You look good in the dullest light."
"Teeth and eyes shining so bright."
"Then you lift me with your arm."
"Ah! So tender and so warm."

"Your arms wrap around to fold."
"Becoming entangled into a mold."
"Staring at the twinkling Big Dipper."
"Drinking wine from my gold slipper."

"Being romatic, you gave me a twig."
"At home, you gave me a white pig."
"But, I still long to see your face."
"Anywhere or the market place."

"I love to see you in a black suit."
"And whenever you feed me fruit."
" You tell me loving words to hear."
"Telling me I have nothing to fear."

"To you, my heart and mind belong."
"As you sing to me a tender song."
"My mind will float and be swept away."
"Each minute, hour, and everyday."

"Whenever I see you!"
"Hey, honey; you hoo!"
"I can say, 'that's my man."
"Women; catch him, if you can."

Reason for writing:

This poem is written to my husband, Coy. The man, who has been
with me for fifteen years. Through many ups an downs, tears, sorrows,
happiness, and good times. He was there for me and the father of our
