Indigo Moon

by Emmett Patrick Finnegan/Sag - Not entered

-Indigo Moon

The florescent beams of moonlight elevate the night to day

Mystic voices chant to welcome the new light

Hidden angles of darkness shun the cosmic rays

Celestial winds dance through the tinder limbs

Moisture is transformed into a shimmering cloak

The hue of night permeates my being

I am electric

I am the sky

I seek to find the secret universe

Change your focus with the blink of an eye

Blend your colours as you weep for the sun

Welcome the dawn of tomorrow in the indigo moon

Emmett Patrick Finnegan

Reason for writing:

I was inspired when I saw the full moon a few nights ago. I also wanted to write something
other than about my lost relationship. I wanted to see if I could be creative without all the
pain and reference to my lost love.
Thanks for reading my poem!
