Blind Ones

by Michael Lloyd, Still a Cappy - Not entered

A smart one covers their heart
When one realizes
That it's all one has.
Protection is key.
For you have it
And no one must steal it from you.

So the smart ones set the trends
And the dumb ones follow blindly
And the guards watch over.
For the dumb ones' hearts are still open
And vulnerable.
The dumbies don't understand though.
They don't see how to steal
That which is given away.

Just looking at the way things in life are organized.
