Merci, Mon Aime

by Thomas Lee Rhymes CANCER - Not entered

How brightly, the sun glows
how sprightly, the wind blows
whenever thou art near

Soft music fades
from glen to glade
when thy heavenly face appears

Thou art but human
frail and tender
beneath the image cast in form

Yet, thy soft Spirit
lives Forever
within my heart, to call my own

For I have loved thee
and thou hast held me
I dare not ask for more

How brightly, the World did glow

Reason for writing:

No matter how hard we try, we sometimes can not (nor should not)
forget our greatest love (or, lovers). To deny their existence -
is to deny our own. And though she is gone, she will never be forgotten.
So, I must Thank You, My Darling - Thank you.
