Solitude

by Brian Cosgrove- Aquarius - Not entered

"Solitude"

Solitude imprisoning me
 Trapping me within it's grasp
 unrelenting in it's desire
to hold me captive under it's realm
 poisoning my ways of thought
 puncturing my now bleeding heart
 penetrating my conscious
 and ripping me apart
Love, take one last look and walk away
 Desolate soul am I
 Seek what you deserve elsewhere
 And just say goodbye
Appalling is my desire to withdraw
 Disengage myself from it all
The ways of your love, all that you shared
I'll depart, pretending not to care
 Alone, I'll stand in solitude
 Insufferable is the pain
 In solitude I shall remain...

Reason for writing:

Did you ever come across someone who was truly deserving of your love but came to you at a time that you just weren't willing to give it?
