Soon All Will Be Better

by Brian Cosgrove- Aquarius - Not entered

"Soon All Will Be Better"

 The salt from her tears
 so bitter on her tongue
 Entrapped in solitude
 So restless and young
 Alone and in despair
She whispers to herself, "It's Alright"
Rolls to her side, turns out the light
Bidding her troubles a fond goodnight
Her eyes aching from tears which she has shed
Restlessly she wrestles for comfort in her bed
For a moment, there is an unshattered tranquility
 She rests comfortably at last
Another day has passed, with little to show,
 Just wasted breath
Motionless, she lies and remembers who she once was
So wide-eyed and curious to see all
Picket fenced dreams, so blissfully serene
The little girl, beaming with a smile, for all to see
Now submerged in an inner pain
 She vigorously struggles
Isolated from the laughter that flows from others effortlessly
 Withdrawn from the love
Convinced she can't be anything to anyone
 Soon all will be better
she has heard them say- time and time again
She wonders when and how as the pain won't subside
"It's Alright", just get through another night.....

Reason for writing:

Sometimes thinking of the pain that someone you care about deeply causes you to lie awake at night and imagine their suffering. Sometimes the pain is all too familar and you know exactly what they are feeling...
