Illusions

by Gina Aquarius - Not entered

I wish I could not wake
Into a world so fake
And to its powers I succumb
Though I'm feeling quite numb
Its falseness disturbs me
Even so I cannot see
All the things it must hide
No chance that it will subside
I wish I could remain asleep
My dreams I want to keep
Behind my closed eyes
It's a world of compromise
Of things I think I see
The way everything should be
Any just truths that remain
Cower behind a mask of blame
Who the fault belongs to
Is the reason of argue
But we all share a piece
When the world does finally cease
But for now let's pretend
That there will be no end
If beyond the surface we could see
Maye my dreams will become reality.
