Metamorphosis

by Tony Peterson - Not entered

Metamorphosis, transition, change
Logical to creative, left to right, normal to special.
Inductive to intuitive, problem solving to problem revealing.
The process of transformation from worm to butterfly,
From a set-minded solid to a free-flowing liquid, to an independant gas
Absorption, from transient phenomena, from special catalysts,
Internal volcanic buildup, then release of lava, to create anew.

Indications, prophecies, abstract and real, practical and impossible.
All these inside a self-contained biosphere,
Not stasis, but continuous change, continuous evolution,
A background of the world once, ever present,
The past, logical, single-minded, stale, mathematical.
Remnants remain, creating a logical intuition, a flexible single-mindedness,
The past remains but does not control, the future waits but does not tug,

The composition of antithesis and thesis, synthesis thus gained,
Knowledge its power, its overriding power,
Knowledge from many sources, combined in one.
The continuous striving for that which is unattainable,
The utility of the left and the intuition of the right, combining,
Appearing unchanged, yet changed abundantly.

Reason for writing:

I had this strange thought and knew I had to write it down
