Crossroads

by Christina Zonak (Leo) - Not entered

The Sky is cold and Empty.
With a darkness black as coal
No stars will shine this bitter night.
With a sadness blackening my soul

Forever lost and helpless.
Confused, I’ve lost my way.
Is this what life is meant to be?
Then in my hands my life I lay.
An ending of pain and suffering
To cease this life of shame
Disappointments will be no more
And no one will call my name.

I’m frightened of this life I lead
For hardships are all I see
But if this is what Life is meant to be.
I fear what death will be.
