"Close the window," said I, when my son entered my bedroom. He left his eyes on me, There were no words but I knew.. "Mother...," he finally spoke, His shaking hand closed into a fist, "Can I talk to you for a minute?" His words felt like it wasn't his' Deep breaths he quickly took, Every tick-tocking seconds played, As he gathered his strength and wept. "Mother, I'm gay..."
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem after a workshop
that I went - it was about homosexual
kids comingout to their parents.
There was a live video about a 30
year old guy revealing his homosexuality
to his mother. Such a tearful scene.
(I'm pro-gay, btw..)
