Times Four

by Rosa Lee Aries - Not entered

Times four by every heartbeats,
Such a race for me to prolong.
I know that it's much too late,
to salvage what once was strong.

For lost was lost forever and ever,
Like the flying comet, far in galaxy,
that only shines once in our lifetime.
So bright, so beautiful, so quick..

Blissful, it may sound to be but -
Twinkling stars are always near,
where wishes are made for our dreams.
To fulfil, to relieve our worst fear.

I must say this once and never -
Shall I utter them again,
Never believe those wise men,
When the fools rush in...

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem to my ex-boyfriend of mine. He and I has
gotten to the point where we couldn't mend our wounds so this
poem was my way of telling him not to give up on "love".
