Enter the Mind...

by The Eldrich Poet - Not entered

for: Lisa

Enter the Mind, and a world of naught,
where the angels of heaven are frequent,
Enter the mind, where the greatest knights fought,
where the daemons of hell, are always distraught,
In the endless dance of the mind.

Enter the mind, and leave conscious thought,
forget all the past and tomorrow,
Enter the mind, where dreams are forgot,
and life is the fire, with bright-souls as embers,
In the endless dance of the mind.

Enter the mind, and live out your destiny,
the power of creation is within your grasp,
Enter the mind, and exist beyond time,
come to the world, where you have control,
In the endless dance of the mind.

Enter the mind, and a-bate your fears,
where love and tranquillity are one is the same,
Enter the mind, where life never ends,
where beauty and magic, are physical form,
In the endless dance of the mind.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem to symbolize the conflict of the known
world in contrast with the world in which our hearts and
minds exist, and to show that the world which we were
born with, the world of our imagination, is in some ways
more realistic than the one that we know as the real world.
