Void

by Starcross - Not entered

Misty mornings awaken me with thoughts of you,
Crystal drops of dew hang from radiant rose peddles,
Morning doves sing, notifying the world of their love,
Yet all I perceive is the void in my world where you should be.

Mother nature paints the sky with crimson reds,
As her cool breezes sweep the billowing clouds by,
Slumberous creatures wake from their nightly illusions,
Yet all I see is the void in my world where you should be.

The shimmering sunshine fills my small part of the world,
Emitting golden rays down upon the land, warming all within its reach,
Flowers turn their faces to her warmth and bask in her beauty,
Yet all I feel is the void in my world where you should be.

Dusk over takes the land casting ebony shadows upon all things,
Creatures of the night wander the land searching for their mates,
Sleepy kits wish upon far away stars with dreams in their hearts,
Yet my only wish I have is for you to fill this void in my world.
