Born Again

by Elle - Not entered

A wing tipped prayer
floating from my lips
Teary eyes looking upward
A rosary clutched in my fist
Candles lit in a sacred room
Reflecting in my humble eyes
A heartfelt confession made
On bended knees, a lost sheep
returning to its flock.

Wiping tears of shame for
what I once was and
Shedding tears of joy
for being born again
My soul dipped in blessed water
Baptizing me in spirit
The warm glow of salvation
floating through my skin
A sincere thanks to the one above
The holy shepherd who
lead me out of temptation.
