Happy Birthday Jesus Today is Your day A child born of mary So precious in every way The Angels sang The wise men came to see You in the manger The story of Your birth We always will remember So, Happy Birthday Jesus On this Christmas day, that we all share sweet remembrance of You, Lord And to let You know that we do care.
Reason for writing:
For this last Christmas (1996) I took a small emty box &
wrapped it in paper with a bow. I Made a card that said,
"Happy Birthday on the front & inside I put this poem. I
had my grandaughters read about Christ birth in Matt. (In
the Bible) Then I read the card. Then I picked up the box
& said to Jesus that the box was filled with all my Love,
And was my give to Him. I wanted Christmas to be something
to be about Christ, not just our presents. I'm thinking of
making it a tradition each christmas.
