He Has Risen

by Marlene Taurus - Not entered

Our Savior Lord Jesus
It was his fate to be
To die upon the cross
For the sins of you & me

Nails in his feet & hands
Stab wounds in his side
A crown of thorns upon his head
He hung there till he died

Then in a tomb He was placed
All wrapped up in clean linen
The opening closed with a stone
When rolled away, they saw
That He had risen

Hallelujah! He has risen!

Reason for writing:

I was sitting here thinking that I wanted a poem for the
Easter Holiday. When the words, "He Has Risen" came to me.
I wrote them down. Then I prayed for help, to put words to
this title. And this is what came to me. I put it here for
others to enjoy & to remember what Easter is about. All my
poems, I feel are brought to me, by a higher source.
