Shakepearean Sonnet VIII

by Cory Bogner {Pisces} - Not entered

Time passes and things change;
Some for better, some for worse.
However, dwelling on life’s wide range
Is never a blessing, always a curse.

Some friends grow older and they grow apart
As they loose touch with more than just each other.
Lovers once living in passion, following their hearts,
Start to grow tired of caring solely for one another.

Just as the leaves fall to the autumn breeze
And the winter thaw kill the last of the grass,
We cannot escape these untimely events everyone sees-
As in nature, as in life, all things must come to pass.

But as summer wanes, one thing I can surely see
Through all this there is one constant: you and me.

Reason for writing:

    I wrote this sonnet for all my true friends.
