The burdens of reality sway my mind, gently rocking it to sleep Listening to others as they question time, I feel my spirit quietly weep Looking in the mirror while a friend draws a line Watching him lose everything he desires to find Waiting on his heart to overcome his mind Wishing he would realize his soul is not blind The burdens of his mind alter reality, gently rocking his happiness to sleep Listening to others speak of fatality, reason convinces him the price is too steep But his heart cries out for something to hold And his brain is convinced that he's out of control Now if his heart will rescue his brain from the cold The saddest fo stories won't be retold
