Maureen

by Johnny McVies - Not entered

Afloat in my sullen seas again
I met her at dinner.
Mark got her phone number.
I thought he was messing around again.
But no, he wasn't,
yet he was, he was.
Now I have to leave her
and there isn't even much to leave
because there was no time to build it.
So for 100 days I will long for her
For 100 days I will die, wondering
what could have happened
if only there'd been more time.
But in August we start again.
And I will like to see what happens.

Reason for writing:

They say love hides, and it hid for me until it was too late.
Now we have to leave, and it is really too bad. I hope we
don't forget each other....
