Mastering Life

by J W Lockridge (capricorn) - Not entered

His shoulders tense, his mind in rage
He beats against, his lonely cage
And cries out, in the voice of the meek
That no longer, shall this beast be weak
Metal shatters, in his anger filled hands
As once again, he can roam the land
This man that broke, the chains of his life
To begin again, it just felt so right
To choose a path, more of his own
Not guided by those, who he had known
But, led instead, by his heart and soul
To choose a more soothing, appropriate goal
He makes his life, from day to day
And though he does it, in a new way
He's happy and joyous for all of the pain
For it taught him to master, his life, once again
