"Say goodbye to a glitter girl"

by Lily J, aries - Not entered

A pale arm outstretched,
her other hand shaking, almost violently,
a knife pointed down at her pale wrist,
but she couldn't bring herself to do it,
she can't explain why not,
for she has every reason, if not more.
she takes a deep, staggered breath
lowers the blade to her thin wrist
she feels the cold blade pierce her skin
and then nothing.
her mouth opens as if to scream,
but not a word passes her now smiling lips
a faint whisper emerges, if any.
the warm blood trickles down her hand,
onto the cream carpet, now blood red.
the bloodied knife drops to the floor
she reaches for it,
but instead,
her golden body too falls to the ground.
her fragile figure lies in a soft lump,
all it's warmth gone
but her beauty remains,
as does her childlike slumber
both gone for eternity.
she loks down at her lifeless body,
so sweet, so innocent
she feels happy and free.
as she drifts away,
she sprinkles the black glitter of death on her golden body.
say goodbye glitter girl,
her little faery says,
say goodbye.

--"say goodbye to a glittergirl" the phrase is from tori amos

Reason for writing:

It's my release, my getaway from life.
i want my life to be heard.
