He stands at his locker, Walking her walk past, And wonders to himself Why it couldn't last A mere infatuation Was how it began; Now he only wishes They could be friends again. He begins to recall, With the greatest of ease, Times that they shared, A love only he could see. He recalled a little tune, A story of agony it did tell; And as her shadow faded, He waited for the bell.
