A rose

by Dee (Aries) - Not entered

Will this feeling of dread never end?
Will this feeling of pain ever go away?

Numb I am to these feelings of hurt
Hoping...strongly hoping
To see the sun after the rain
The sun that was always there,
that gave me comfort and held my hand

A rose, a virgin rose that stood
wilted in the torrent storm.
Blood that dripped from its thorn,
Those horrid thorns.
The rose that knew the lessons of life;
"To seek is to know,
to find is to love
And all of which is divine."

I am that rose,
How sadly am I denied?
The wind that has begun
lifted my pieces of worlds' shattered love
towards the sun.
But alas! Gone is the sun
And the unslavaged love.
