escape

by falcon - Not entered

I sit up in my room
and stare out the window
i watch the rain fall to earth
and gently nourish the surface
the rings trickle away on the lake
and the road slowly becomes a darker gray
and then suddenly it is pouring
the dark skies let go of their fierce grasp
and let their tears fall forcefully down
i long to be out there, under it's beating
feeling its tingling touch upon my bare skin
and letting the rain wash away my pain
i long for the coldness, the wetness, the pureness
i need the sense of being fresh and new
i need to escape from the harsh reality i am caught in
the rain is my escape, yet this barrier of wood and glass
puts what i need most forever beyond my reach
and sentences me to an eternity without hope of ever being free.

Reason for writing:

i know it sucks, comments and advice please.
