No Regret

by Lobo - Not entered

Who'd have thought that after only two weeks had passed,
we'd be forced to say goodbye?
I do not understand why your parents say it must be so,
I do know God's will is most high.

I have no regret for having known you, in our relationship
we have committed no sin!
I suppose that if God wants us to let go for now, we should;
for one day, we SHALL meet again.

Reason for writing:

    To Esmeralda, who, for reasons unknown, has been unjustly taken from me. Esmeralda, your parents do not want me to write you, and they sent back your rose. I didn't simply abandon you. Remember, I will always be your friend, and no one can take that from you! Ever! Not even your parents. I will keep the rose against the day that we shall meet again. Until then, we still have our poems.
