Silent Jelousy

by Angela Daugherty - Not entered

Silent Jelousy

I watch them walking
side by side
down the breezeway

As they pass
he glances at me
and smiles

Obviously perturbed
she tugs at his pants leg
and whispers something in his ear

Her head turns
and her glaring eyes meet mine...
I look away

She brushes her shoulder
against his
and takes his hand

As they make their way
around the corner
my heart shadders

There's no real reason for writing this poem (that I am willing to admit, anyway).
