rain

by Nitin Uchil (Capricorn) - Not entered

outside
sounds
a steady drizzle
drops pattering from leaf to leaf
and from leaf to ground
little winged creatures laid helter skelter in its wake
the rustling of the leaves
as the wind whispers thru them
blending with the croaks and splashes
of frogs woken from their reverie
and me
inside
untouched by
yet in touch
with
the rain

Reason for writing:

It was a long time ago - 1983 - something about impending
exams when outside the weather seemed so pleasant
